After having dogs in my life since the age of
seven, I was about to use the usual traditional
methods with my beautiful Siberian Husky, Dion,
such as obedience training, I do not even use
the word now.
Dion-Blue was raised using this method and grew up to be the most amazing dog I have ever shared my life with. Everything the books said could be a ‘problem’ simply did not occur and it is all down to Amichien® Bonding.I had seen Jan Fennell on TV and
was 'hooked'. I had the pleasure of meeting her
at Crufts, from that day I knew I was not only
making a true friend but also sealing my
destiny. I knew this was the method that
would bring out the best in my dog and in me.
I have been using the method of Amichien®
Bonding for nearly 11 years and would not
consider anything else.
Dion has led me on what is now becoming a journey of a lifetime, where I am now helping others to enjoy the same wonderful, respectful relationship with their dog as I had with her. Since 2002 I have completed both the Foundation and Advanced courses and hold the relevant certificates to practice teaching the method. I was trained by Jan Fennell herself and she has recently promoted me to the status of Associate Amichien Dog Listener, one of only four in the world to hold this newly created position.
I am now a regular on BBC radio as a panellist and have been invited to attend pet and garden centres across the South west giving advice to dog owners/carers.
I have had the pleasure of literally walking with Wolves in Wolf Park, Battleground Illinois with Jan Fennell (see the gallery page) and visited Yellowstone
National Park with my fellow Dog Listeners to watch the ‘masters’ The Druid Peak pack. I am truly living my dreams.
